Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the SX4 Diesel with the 1.3-liter diesel engine. The SX4 Diesel uses Fiat-sourced 90bhp, 1.3 Multi-jet diesel unit. The Super Turbo DDiS engine is mounted on the SX4, delivers 90PS of peak power at 4000rpm. It has been offered in three variants VDi; ZDi and ZDi (with leather upholstery). It has a claimed fuel economy of 21.5 kmpl (certified as per CMVR rules). SX4 Diesel is high on power and performance while being low on emissions. The suspension and brakes of the SX4 Diesel Super Turbo have been suitably modified to account for the heavier engine and the changed weight distribution of the car.

Will be Powered by a 1968cc, four-cylinder diesel engine as found on the A4, it produces 168 bhp@4200 rpm and about 35.3 kgm of peak torque, available between 1750 and 2500 rpm.

Bookings Open for Nissan Micra Diesel

Nissan has launched a media campaign for its upcoming Micra diesel which will launch before Christmas this year.
Nissan dealers across the country have already begun taking bookings for the Micra diesel even though final prices haven’t been revealed. The diesel Micra is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine and is being claimed by Nissan to deliver an overall mileage of over 23kmpl. The car’s light weight coupled with this high torque diesel engine will give the Micra a spirited drive while being light on the wallet.
While the Micra hasn’t yet set the sales charts on fire, the diesel engine variant could change that and lead to a sales spurt for the Japanese carmaker. Nissan would do well to price the Micra diesel competitively alongside the Figo diesel which would be one of its main competitors.
