Audi India is getting huge success in the Indian market. The recent success is the Audi A8 which got appreciable initial bookings. Q5 2.0 TDI diesel Staled for launch sometime in March, the Q5 2.0 TDI will be priced at around Rs 42 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. Will be Powered by a 1968cc, four-cylinder diesel engine as found on the A4, it produces 168 bhp@4200 rpm and about 35.3 kgm of peak torque, available between 1750 and 2500 rpm.

Audi A8L Launched

Audi India today launched its flagship model in India, the A8L at a price of Rs 89,00,000, ex-showroom, Delhi. The new generation A8 in its "L" variant is closer to a limousine dynamically and offers many unique features for its segment. 

Displacing a massive 4163cc, the 4.2 FSI V8 petrol engine, Audi’s elite A8L is capable of generating 372 horse power with a chassis twisting 445Nm of torque at just 3,500 rpm. Coming with an electronically controlled 8 speed tiptronic automated transmission and quattro permanent all wheel drive, the A8 is able to go from standstill to 100km/hr in just 5.8 seconds flat. A 3.0 litre TDI V6 diesel engine is expected to be launched by March this year which will produce 250 bhp.

A8L is a treat to the senses with everything present to pamper you in each and every way-be it the Bang & Olufsen sound system, the Multi Media Information system with a touchpad, the numerous buttons to control the exact temperature and level of airflow from the A/C vents in your direction-its all about the ultimate indulgence.To ensure passenger safety, the new Audi A8L will be tucked in with the usual ABS, EBD, ESP and numerous airbags. Also part of the security arsenal is the Audi press sense basic safety system, which by using information from the ESP system can ‘understand’ a critical situation and help mitigate the situation by intervening.

New Audi A8 Launch Next Week

Audi India will launch the new 2011 A8 on the 10th of January. The first variant of the new A8 to hit Audi showrooms across the country will be the 4.2 litre FSI V8 petrol producing 367 bhp of power and 445 Nm of torque. The V8 petrol will be followed up by the 3.0 litre TDI V6 diesel producing 247 bhp of power and 550 Nm of torque. The flagship variant of the A8 range, the 6.3 litre W12 pumping out 493 bhp of power and 625 Nm of torque will be launched in the latter part of next year. The Ex-Showroom Mumbai prices for the new Audi A8 are:

4.2 FSI V8 Petrol – 91 lakh

3.0 TDI v6 Diesel – 76.5 lakh.
