Volvo has revealed that it will launch the XC60
compact SUV in the Indian market on 24
th November’ 2010.The XC60 is one of the modern offerings from Volvo and made its international debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. Volvo has been late to launch this model in India but finally the XC60 will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from November onwards.The XC60 will feature a twin-turbo 2.4-litre diesel engine with a power output of 202bhp and 420Nm of torque. A 3.0-litre
turbocharged V6 petrol engine may also be launched. Volvo has as yet not disclosed the XC60s pricing but it is expected to cost about Rs. 40 lakh. The compact SUV will compete with BMW’s next-generation X3 and Audi’s Q5.
