The two new bikes from the Harley’s stable named SuperLow
883 and Iron 88
3 are priced at
Rs. 5,50,000 and
Rs. 6,50,000 (ex-showroom), respectively. At this price levels, expect to see a lot more Harleys rumbling on Indian streets. Bookings for the bikes have already been started from 1st Jan 2011 and will be the first 2 models to roll out of Harley’s CKD assembly facility in Bawal. The two bikes, SuperLow 883 and Iron 883 will use Harley’s traditional V-twin engine displacing 883cc. The SuperLow883 is a motorcycle with balanced and responsive handling and has a low seat height. Whereas the Iron 883 provides responsive handling, smooth clutch effort and durable carbon reinforced drive belt. Covered in black from fender-to-fender, the black powder-coat 883cc Evolution powertrain is tuned for performance with a broad torque curve and delivers plenty of power for city and highway riding
