Ford Figo is the Indian Car of the year 2011

Ford’s Figo has won the 2011 Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) title beating notable competitors including Chevrolet’s Beat, Nissan’s Micra, Skoda’s Yeti, VW’s Polo and Vento. The winner is decided based on a point system in which Ford Figo emerged a clear winner where Volkswagen Vento secured a second place. This award is a big achievement for Figo as it will help boost the image of the car further in the Indian automobile market.

Figo is Ford’s best-selling car with over 60,000 units sold since its launch in March 2010, setting a new sales record for a single nameplate in India. From January to November 2010, Ford India sold 79,586 units across its lineup, an increase of 185 percent compared to the same period last year. The Figo won on the back of its value-for-money pricing, dynamic handling, fuel efficiency and clever packaging
